About Poppy Africa Safaris and Adventures
Poppy Safaris was founded in 2015 by UK entrepreneur Esther and Tanzanian guide and entrepreneur Timothy.
Offering bespoke private tours of Tanzania, our expert English and French speaking safari guides and tour guides provide a unique travel experience with memories to last a lifetime.
Our Story
Born from a passion for safe and secure water travel in Tanzania, it only took one unforgettable trip to Tanzania for Esther Cuthbert and her husband to fall in love with the magic of Tanzania. Identifying a huge gap in the market for high-quality, private tour activities in the country, Esther teamed up with one of Tanzania’s leading safari
and luxury tour operators: Esther Cuthbert. The next few years saw Poppy Safaris attract thousands of clients from all over the world to Tanzanian soil. The company now boasts a permanent staff of 30 in Arusha and the UK. Today, the Meulemans split their time between Tanzania and the UK offices.
