Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Tarangire National Park
You meet your safari guide in the early morning at your Arusha hotel, and then you drive to Tarangire National Park in your 44 Toyota Land Cruiser. The environment of this lovely national park is characterized by open grassland, baobab trees, seasonal marshes, and the Tarangire River, which sustains life. Elephants, giraffes, bushbucks, and hartebeests are among the animals that congregate by the river. The fringe-eared oryx and the odd-looking gerenuk might even be visible. Buffaloes, zebras, and wildebeests can also be seen in Tarangire, where they are constantly pursued by a variety of predators, including lions.
Your safari vehicle’s open roof provides the best vantage point from which to observe the surrounding landscape and wildlife. You will depart the park in the late afternoon and make your way to the Sangaiwe Tented Lodge, where you will spend the night.
Day 2: Tarangire Area – Serengeti National Park
You go today beyond Lake Manyara and into the lush Ngorongoro highlands. You will arrive in the expansive open grasslands of the Serengeti National Park in the early afternoon after crossing the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
The following days are reserved for touring the renowned Serengeti, which is home to many different creatures, including the Big Five (elephant, buffalo, lion, leopard, and rhinoceros). Because no two safari days are the same, you can anticipate seeing a wide variety of different wildlife during your game drives.
The next three nights are spent in the Kati Kati Tented Camp. Depending on the time of year, you might spend all three nights in the central Serengeti (November–December & April–May), or you might spend one night in the central Serengeti and two nights in the northern Serengeti (June–October) or the southern Serengeti (January–March).
Day 3 – 4: Serengeti National Park
The Serengeti is the focus of these two days. In this beautiful region of the planet, you scout for wildlife with your guide. You have plenty of time to watch the park’s wildlife and learn about the social structures and behavior of the many animals because you are not pressed for time.
Tanzania’s third-largest park, the Serengeti National Park, is breathtakingly magnificent. While broad grassland extends as far as the eye can see in the southern countryside, open forests and hills predominate in the north and west. One of the greatest displays on earth, the Great Migration of millions of wildebeest and zebras, takes place in the Serengeti and the Masai Mara.
One of the Kati Kati Tented Camps is where you live. We plan your itinerary and the sequence of camps according to your time of travel to increase your chances of seeing the Great Migration.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
You will resume your safari in the Serengeti National Park after breakfast. During the dry season, animals gather at the rivers in the Seronera Valley, and if you’re lucky, you might witness predators hunting.
You will leisurely travel in the direction of the Ngorongoro Crater after lunch at a picnic location. You will enjoy a stunning view of the caldera as soon as you arrive near the crater. Over 20,000 creatures call this roughly 20 km wide crater, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, home.
You will spend the night at the Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp, which is located on the crater rim and offers spectacular views of the setting sun.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration ending in Arusha
Get up and shine! You will drive down the inclining slope into the crater after an early breakfast. The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest, intact, and unflooded caldera, and it is home to an incredible variety of animals. You might see the endangered black rhino in addition to seeing zebras and wildebeests, as well as other Big Five animals. More than 500 different bird species live in the crater along with other animals like hyenas, waterbucks, bushbucks, eland, and more.
After a lengthy game drive and a picnic lunch, you will depart the caldera in the late afternoon and make your way back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your overnight hotel in the early evening.
