We can set up a city tour or other activities based on your interests if you wish to keep yourself busy till evening.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
Your first Tanzanian national park, the stunning Tarangire, will be your destination today. Due to its size and remoteness, particularly in the south, this park is a favorite among guides. The abundance of elephants that gather in this park is well known. Additionally, there are sizable populations of wildebeest, zebra, impala, giraffe, eland, and buffalo. A few specialized and unique species, including the gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx, are also present. The main landscape consists of dry, open woodland that is dotted with thousands of baobab trees, which are considered to be Africa’s first “Trees of Life.” During your game drive, you’ll stop for a picnic lunch as you explore the park in your own private car before continuing on to your camp for the night.
Day 3: Serengeti National Park
You will pass through expansive green hills and across flat lowlands on your way from Karatu to the Serengeti. The only structures intruding on the vast expanse of land are a few dusty villages and earthen Maasai houses. As you go approach the camp after entering the Serengeti, you’ll be doing a wildlife drive. The southern part of the park is made up of level or moderately undulating grasslands with the odd rock kopje, which is home to a healthy population of resident wildlife. The kopjes give big cats a superb vantage point, which they love to have. Before going farther north, enormous herds of wildebeest give birth in this southern region. Depending on where you are staying in the park, the Serengeti is home to a range of landscapes.
Day 4: Serengeti National Park
You will continue your safari experience in Africa today at the Serengeti National Park, one of the main tourist destinations on the continent. The Serengeti is unmatched for its boundless plains and variety of species. The Serengeti’s main attraction is undoubtedly the annual migration of the wildebeest, which numbers over a million. Millions of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles thunder across the unending Serengeti plains, creating a truly amazing spectacle.
You will be searching the plains for the herds with your personal guide. You will also witness many other creatures, like lions, cheetahs, leopards, and many others, in addition to the migratory ones. The natural splendor of Africa’s most well-known park is sure to impress.
We advise going on a balloon safari if you enjoy viewing nature from a different angle. This is an extra-charged activity. Drifting silently above the wildlife-filled plains is an incredible experience.
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
You’ll go by car from the Serengeti to the Ngorongoro early in the morning. At Ngorongoro, you will begin your descent into the crater. The main feature of the region is a volcano that has collapsed, which has created a distinctive environment with a broad variety of vegetation. Enjoy the many animal species and the stunning scenery colors.
The crater is home to the greatest number of animals in Africa, including rare black rhinos, hippos, buffaloes, lions, and elephants. One of the greatest sites to see all five of the Big Five is here. Incredible views of the crater’s bottom may be seen from the rim of the crater. The Ngorongoro Crater was selected as one of Africa’s Seven Natural Wonders due to its outstanding natural beauty.
The Ngorongoro Conservation Area offers a variety of activities, such as seeing a Maasai village. Before returning to Karatu, you can stay in the crater for up to six hours.
