You may experience the Northern safari circuit’s highlights on this 8-day camping safari for an exceptional price. In the midst of some of the most varied settings, we encounter breathtaking animals. Additionally, we travel to the renowned Serengeti National Park. The exodus of enormous numbers of wildebeest from the Serengeti, joined by sizable numbers of zebra and other animals, is known as the wildebeest migration, the final major migration on Earth. These invertebrates have a very consistent annual movement pattern.
Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
A Lion King representative will pick you up at the airport and drive you to your lodging in Arusha, where you’ll spend the night, unwind, and get ready for the activities ahead. A haven of serenity and aesthetic delight is Outpost Lodge or something comparable.
Day 2: Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Our safari guide will meet us at our lodging following breakfast. Then, we started traveling to Lake Manyara National Park. The shallow salt lake that makes up a significant portion of the park’s surface area gave this quite a modest but diverse park, 120 kilometers west of Arusha, its name. Thousands of flamingos live in this soda lake, which floods and dries with the seasons. The park also has 500 different bird species. We’ll see monkeys, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, elephants, and, maybe, lions relaxing in the trees as we explore the park. The park is renowned for its varied topography, which includes cliffs covered with baobab trees, as well as broad, grassy plains and woodlands home to primates.
After a lengthy game drive around the park, we make our way to your campsite, which we carefully picked out so that we can eat, rest, and relax in a comfortable setting.
Day 3: Manyara to Serengeti
We left towards the rich highlands where the Iraqi people cultivate grain, wheat, and coffee after breakfast. We get the chance to view the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater as we pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before continuing on to the Serengeti National Park, which we will arrive at around lunchtime. The Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s largest park, is home to a variety of habitats and landscapes, including grassy plains, lakes, marshes, savannahs, and mountains. Along with a variety of other creatures, the big wildebeest and zebra migration travels in circles here. Depending on the season, we may have the chance to see thousands of animals on their quest for food and water.
We travel to your campsite after our extended wildlife drive so that we may rest, eat dinner, and then spend the evening around a fire on the endless plain beneath the endless African sky.
Day 4: Serengeti full day
Additional game drives in the park are scheduled for this entire day. Numerous animals, including impala, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippopotamuses can be found in the Serengeti, but zebra and wildebeest migrations are what make the region famous. The journey of the animals changes from year to year and is influenced by the rainfall. The animals migrate in November and December from the hilly and forested north to the grassy plains of the south. The herds migrate north during the lengthier rainy season, which lasts from April through June. Aside from the migratory herds, there is a chance that we will see nearby predators like lions, cheetahs, and leopards. After spending a full day exploring the plains, we head back to our campground to relax and take a well-earned nap while dreaming of wild cats.
Day 5: Serengeti National Park
This will be our last full day in the Serengeti, also known as the “Endless Plain,” which is unquestionably one of the most breathtaking locations on earth. We never tire of watching the many animals and birds. You will be an expert by now! Make sure to request that your guide take you to the places you want to go the most.
Our final night is spent sleeping outside on the plain while keeping a lookout for any passing animals, which, rest assured, aren’t particularly interested in us. The Ngorongoro Crater’s rim will be our home for the night tomorrow.
Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro
We leave for another Serengeti game drive after an early breakfast. Before beginning our drive to the Ngorongoro Crater, we may have the chance to see the “Big Five” lion, elephant, buffalo, rhinoceros, and leopard. The unfenced areas allow the animals to move freely, giving us a constant opportunity to see the game. When we reach the crater’s edge, we catch our first look at the glittering streams, wide-open grasslands, and a wide variety of animals that will be waiting for us the next day. We spend the night at the Simba Campsite, just at the edge of the crater, and as we doze off, the orange glow of the setting sun surrounds us.
Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
Early risers can enjoy breathtaking sunrise views over the crater’s edge. After a filling breakfast, we take the thrilling road into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is 610 meters deep and occupies around 260 square kilometers. It was created millions of years ago during a catastrophic volcanic outburst. The crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania because of its dense animal population of about 25,000 ungulates. We will see wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, elephant, and some of the more than 500 bird species that live in the crater in a matter of minutes. With any hope, we might be able to see a black rhino through the grass, which is critically endangered. We hike up the crater’s steep sides after lunch and continue on to our accommodations in Karatu. Dinner will be served at the Lilac Campsite (or alternatively, the Panorama Campsite), where our tents will be waiting to house our comfort and fantasies of wild cats.
Day 8: Tarangire National Park to Airport
After breakfast, we travel to Tarangire National Park, the last stop on this grand safari. Large elephant herds, seasonal marshes, savannah, and the Tarangire River, which winds through the park and invites the wildlife to sip her calming waters, are just a few of Tarangire’s well-known features. We experience the scenery while looking for sightings of the various animals, such as zebra, wildebeest, buffalo, elephant, and giraffe, from the open top of our cutting-edge safari truck. A lion chasing its prey or a leopard watching and lounging in the branches above can be visible to us.
As our vacation comes to an end, we take several game drives across the park before returning to Arusha with vivid memories of the African wild.
