Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, you will be met by your professional safari guide and transferred to your lodge in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may take a short city tour or simply relax at your accommodation while preparing for the adventure ahead. In the evening, enjoy dinner at the lodge and an overnight stay surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of Arusha.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your journey begins as you drive to Tarangire National Park, a hidden gem known for its towering baobab trees and large elephant populations. The Tarangire River draws animals throughout the year, offering excellent opportunities to spot diverse wildlife including lions, giraffes, buffalo, and an incredible array of birdlife. Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing your game drive in the afternoon. As the sun sets, you will head to your lodge or tented camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Tarangire to Serengeti National Park
Today you travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands en route to Serengeti National Park, Tanzania’s most celebrated wildlife reserve. Along the way, enjoy the shifting landscapes from lush highlands to the vast golden plains of Serengeti. Upon arrival, embark on your first game drive, with chances to see prides of lions, cheetahs, and roaming herds of wildebeest and zebras. After an exciting day of wildlife viewing, retire to your lodge or luxury tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
Spend a full day exploring Serengeti National Park, with both morning and afternoon game drives. Depending on the time of year, you may witness the Great Migration, one of the most remarkable wildlife spectacles on earth. The Serengeti is also home to the Big Five and countless other species, ensuring every game drive brings new discoveries. Between drives, relax at your lodge or camp and soak in the remarkable surroundings.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater – Departure
After breakfast, you will journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the famous Ngorongoro Crater, often described as the “Eighth Wonder of the World.” This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including black rhinos, elephants, hippos, and flamingos. Enjoy a game drive across the crater floor before ascending back to the rim. In the afternoon, transfer to Arusha for your onward journey or flight home, marking the end of your unforgettable safari.
