Full Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania and Transfer to Moshi
- Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport
- Meet your guide and transfer to your hotel in Moshi
- Attend a pre-trek briefing and equipment check
- Rest and prepare for the upcoming trek
Day 2: Lemosho Gate (2,385m) to Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m)
- After breakfast, drive to the Lemosho Gate
- Complete park registration and meet the trekking crew
- Begin the trek through lush rainforest
- Reach Mti Mkubwa Camp for overnight camping
- Enjoy the peaceful surroundings and acclimatize to the altitude
Day 3: Mti Mkubwa Camp (2,820m) to Shira 1 Camp (3,505m)
- Continue the trek through the rainforest, gradually ascending
- Leave the forested area and enter the heathland zone
- Reach Shira 1 Camp, offering panoramic views of the plateau
- Overnight camping at Shira 1 Camp
Day 4: Shira 1 Camp (3,505m) to Moir Camp (4,200m) and back to Shira 2 Camp (3,900m)
- Begin the day with a gradual climb across the Shira Plateau
- Ascend to Moir Camp for lunch and enjoy the stunning scenery
- Descend back to Shira 2 Camp for overnight camping
- This day serves as an acclimatization hike and helps with adaptation
Day 5: Shira 2 Camp (3,900m) to Barranco Camp (3,950m)
- Trek through the alpine desert and cross rocky ridges
- Enjoy breathtaking views of the Western Breach and the summit
- Descend into the Great Barranco Valley and reach Barranco Camp
- Overnight camping at Barranco Camp, nestled beneath the Barranco Wall
Day 6: Barranco Camp (3,950m) to Karanga Camp (4,035m)
- Begin the day with a challenging climb up the Barranco Wall
- Traverse through valleys and ridges, witnessing unique landscapes
- Reach Karanga Camp, situated on a rocky ridge with scenic views
- Overnight camping at Karanga Camp
Day 7: Karanga Camp (4,035m) to Barafu Camp (4,640m)
- Ascend through the barren alpine desert towards Barafu Camp
- The landscape becomes more lunar-like and the air thinner
- Arrive at Barafu Camp, the base camp for the summit push
- Rest, hydrate, and prepare for the summit attempt
- Overnight camping at Barafu Camp
Day 8: Barafu Camp (4,640m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m) and Descend to Mweka Camp (3,100m)
- Begin the summit attempt in the early hours of the morning
- Trek through the steep scree slopes and ascend to Stella Point (5,685m)
- Continue to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa (5,895m)
- Celebrate your achievement and capture memorable photos
- Descend back to Barafu Camp for a short rest and refreshment
- Continue descending to Mweka Camp for overnight camping
Day 9: Mweka Camp (3,100m) to Mweka Gate (1,640m) and Transfer to Moshi
- Descend through the lush rainforest, enjoying the rich vegetation
- Arrive at Mweka Gate, complete the descent formalities, and receive certificates
- Meet your driver and transfer back to your hotel in Moshi
- Celebrate your successful Kilimanjaro summit and rest
Day 10: Departure from Tanzania

- Transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport
